P/T Prevention Program Coordinator Position Open

The South Salt Lake Coalition for Drug Free Youth is seeking a dynamic and talented individual with a passion for substance abuse prevention. Successful candidates will be hard working, self-starters with a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. Applicants must be comfortable in an office environment, as well as being out in the community and public speaking. This position offers a fun and supportive working environment, opportunities to network with persons from other organizations and agencies, and a chance to develop new skills.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• Previous prevention experience or college course work preferred
• English proficiency (writing & speaking)
• Skilled in event planning and follow-up
• Skilled in MS Office, Adobe, web-based researching
• Dependable / flexible in task assignments
• Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter
• Able to lift 50 lbs. easily
• Ability to juggle many tasks at once
• Demonstrate task follow through/completion under varying circumstances

Tasks:
• Coordinate ATOD prevention programs
• Coordinate activities of coalition members and partners
• Facilitate communication between members, partners and community
• Generally assist South Salt Lake Coalition director
• Complete clerical assignments
• Record meeting minutes
• Prepare materials for events/conferences:
• Arrange Reservations
• Organizing materials at site
• Assist with event set-up
• Assist event presenters, as needed
• Post-event materials removal & clean-up
• Professionally answer telephones and greet and assist patrons
• Assist with office tasks as assigned

Hours: 27 Hours per week/Evenings and weekends as needed.

Wage: Hourly Starting at $14.50 –16.00/hr.
